Litter Receptacles are Here!

New litter receptacle adopted by John Hughes Construction, 470 Lafayette Street.

The remaining funds from the Southwest Revitalization project supported by LIVE (Lancaster Investment in a Vibrant Economy), and financed by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development, are being used to make streetscape improvements mainly along the Manor and King Street corridors. This includes the installation of 29 litter receptacles throughout the Southwest Revitalization area.

The receptacles are being "adopted" by residents, property owners and small business owners, who take responsibility for regularly removing the trash. We sincerely thank these individuals for helping to keep our southwest neighborhoods clean.

If you reside or own a business within the southwest revitalization area and would like to adopt a receptacle, please contact Carol Parrish McCoy at 291-4753 or cmccoy@cityoflancasterpa.com.
